What's your job in Lycania?

​

I play keyboards, compose and arrange most of the songs and do some backing vocals.

 

Which are your favourite bands?

 

A lot of symphonic and power metal stuff. Serenity, Seven Spires, Theocracy, Avantasia, Sonata Arctica, InLegend... everything that's somewhat melodic and good.

For how long do you make music?

​

I started playing keyboards when I was five or six, but wasn't very motivated until I was thirteen.. 

 

Your favourite movie or TV series?

 

I'm generally not a movie or series junkie, but at least I watched a few things completely: Scorpion, Monk, Game of Thrones and The Witcher did entertain me.

 

Do you have any idols?

 

Tobias Sammet. The guy does what he wants to do and is pretty succesful with it.

 

First CD you bought yourself?

 

That was a pop sampler called Sunshine 2000. It had the "The Riddle"-cover by Gigi D'Agostino on it, which I really loved at that time. Well, I was young...

 

What do you do when not making music?

 

I work in a youth centre. Otherwise I'm probably playing "Magic: The Gathering" or board games with friends or some RPG on the computer.

 

Any wise words to conclude this interview?

 

Yeast dough longer stays fresh if you bake it just a little bit later.
